The parents of a diner tragically departed due to an unforeseen accident. The younger sister, who had been managing the restaurant with her parents, sought help from her inexperienced brother in despair. However, the brother, lacking both skills and direction, struggled with the task. Growing increasingly frustrated, they quarreled. When he casually visits a shrine and vents his frustration, saying, "I wish someone could possess me and teach me how to cook," a deity appears and ends up possessing his soul. There, he inadvertently became possessed by the soul of a skilled chef who had passed away, leaving unresolved attachments to this world. In exchange for learning cooking from the possessed soul, he must prepare meals for the person the soul desires and help them find closure. From a mother to her son, from the shop owner to a regular, from a mother-in-law to a daughter-in-law, from a husband to a wife—each soul embodies someone's feelings.
This moving tale follows the growth of the inexperienced brother into a skilled chef for the family diner, as he seeks to bring solace to the culinary maestro's departed soul, who held lingering regrets in this world.
