A parcel delivered by a deceased person. It lights up the lives of those who are left behind and loosens the stiffness in their hearts - a story of warmth that makes you love being alive.

Yuko, 75 years old, has been living alone since her two female friends, with whom she was happily spending her old age, passed away one after another. She refuses to accept help from her neighbors and lives in a trashy house until one day, a home delivery service arrives. The package was said to be the belongings of two deceased friends with whom Yuko had lived. She wonders about the contents, but when she looks at them, she finds .......

This is the first story, "Our Little House. The second story, "The Queen of Othello," is about a high school girl who wanted to leave the closed countryside and fought with her grandmother constantly, the third story, "Hide and Seek at Ten in the Afternoon," is about a middle-aged man who has no place at home. In the fourth episode, "The Last Extracurricular Class," college students with problems receive a parcel from a deceased person.

Although this story is set up like a fantasy, let me first tell you that it is a real story. It is a story about a courier service that delivers items that you want to give to someone after his or her death, if you leave them with them before he or she passes away.

Gifts and messages from people you can no longer see. Some of them have not seen each other for years. Why did they entrust them to the delivery service? What did they want to convey? When the reason is understood, the difficulties and problems that each recipient has been facing in life are untangled, just like unraveling a tangled thread. The warmth of the entrusted thoughts made me feel as if the lump in my chest was melting away. The third story in particular is a truly excellent mystery, and the conclusion of the fourth story is so exhilarating that it feels as if the world has been colored at once.

However, as I read the book - especially the second and third episodes - there was something that really bothered me. Why didn't he tell us about it while he was still alive? There is no way to take it back now.

It was not until I read the fourth episode and the epilogue that I realized that the theme of the story was to make me think this way. This story is an expression of my wish for them to be happy even though I cannot be there to watch over them after I die, and at the same time, it is about how lucky they are to be alive and how happy they are to be able to communicate with each other.

The fact that we are alive is very lovely. I feel deeply that this moment is irreplaceable. What do I want to bequeath to whom? No, before that, let's tell them properly - this is a story that makes me think so.

What is the final gift for someone important? One day, a delivery was received. The sender was no longer in this world. A best friend, grandmother, first love, teacher... Four packages connect memories and bring heart-stirring comfort in this story.
