What does “true happiness” really mean? The Ihato Club at Noa Prefectural High School is a small study group devoted to the poet Miyazawa Kenji—until the day their president, Kazami, vanishes without warning. Tracing his absence through Kenji’s verses and his unfinished masterpiece Night on the Galactic Railroad, the remaining members each confront their own private “truth.” A luminous YA novel in which the lives of teenagers today resonate deeply with the words of a poet who died over ninety years ago.
