He was borin at Chiba Japan in 1977. He graduated from Nihon University."Days at the Morisaki Bookshop" is his debut novel. It won Chiyoda Literature Prize.(ちよだ文学賞CHIYODA BUNGAKU SHO) in 2008. This book was published in 2010 and adapted into film. Its sequel was published in 2011. "Days at the Morisaki Bookshop" has translated to 30 languages and became international bestseller.
