The continuation of the story set at the Morisaki Bookshop, the second-hand bookshop in Jimbocho, Tokyo.Takako’s uncle and aunt, Ojisan and Momoko, are now back together and happily running the famous“Morisaki Bookshop”. One day, Takako arranges a spa holiday for Momoko and Ojisan. She senses that something is not right with her uncle Ojisan. At the same time, when her own relationship with Wada seems to be going well, Wada’s ex-girlfriend shows up unexpectedly. A wall begins to build up around Takako’s heart… At the bookshop, a young boy is looking for a book titled “Golden Dream” in order to cheer up the girl that he is secretly in love with. The search for this book becomes an impossible mission, as he doesn’t know the author’s name. Finally, the clue is in the girl’s past. Apparently, “Golden Dream” is the title of a fiction book within another book titled “The Sunset Moment”, which used to be the favorite novel of the girl’s sister, who passed away some years before. Takako builds up the courage to confront Wada about his ex-girlfriend, who keeps using the excuse that she has to return books to Wada in order to see him and try to gain him back.Ojisan tells his niece Takako that Momoko’s cancer is getting worse, hence his strange behavior during their spa holiday. Momoko passes away after 6 months. Ojisan looses all his energy and decides to close the bookshop. Nobody can help him. One day, Takako finds a notebook in the bookshop. It belonged to Momoko. In it, she had written a letter to Ojisan. She knew that she only had a few months left to live and decided to write a “Thank You” letter to her beloved Ojisan every day. She also begged him to save the Morisaki Bookshop, that was so dear to them.The Morisaki Bookshop reopens. An airplane flies across the sky leaving behind a new white line.
