Yatarō MATSUURA (b. 1965, Tokyo) founded COW BOOKS, an independent bookshop in Nakameguro that became a landmark of Tokyo’s literary life, and served as Editor-in-Chief of Kurashi no Techo (暮しの手帖)—Japan’s most respected lifestyle magazine—from 2006 to 2015. The author of more than 30 books with cumulative sales exceeding one million copies, his writing has been licensed into Taiwan, South Korea, China and Vietnam.
