In the second book "The Kamogawa Food Detectives: Refill, please" chef Nagare, the retired policeman and his daughter Koishi continue to help people to find their food memories. The first chapter, Father's Nori Lunchbox, is about a university boy who is a professional swimmer. He wants to taste the lunchbox that his father made for him every day when he was a teenager. In Granpa's Hamburger, a famous gourmet finds out that her daughter's favorite dish is her father's hamburger, not the Michelin steak that they had before. In fact, her father is the owner of the small diner in her hometown. She hasn't talked to her father for years. In Friday's Fried Rice, a young model is adopted by her rich uncle. The man that she loves proposes to her and she wants to cook something for her fiancée: the fried rice that her mother used to prepare every Friday when she was ten years old. After her mother died, she lived with her uncle and no one knew her past. In these stories, people want to taste the food in their memories and go back to that time again...
